Memory

my.studio

The assistant learns from your conversations so it can help you without being told the same things again. my.studio shows two kinds of memory: your own, under Settings › Memory, and each project’s, on the project’s Memory tab.

Open Settings, then select Memory. It reads “Explore what your AI assistant knows and remembers”.

“Your AI assistant learns from conversations to provide personalized help. Semantic memory stores facts about you, while episodic memory tracks conversation context.”

The page has three tabs:

Tab What it shows
Overview A picture of your memory with totals for facts, sessions, turns and agents, plus Semantic Memory (“What I know about you”) and Episodic Memory (“Our conversations”).
Facts What I Remember About You: the facts and preferences the assistant has learned.
Knowledge Knowledge picked up from your interactions and tagged. Filter by Scopes, or select a tag under Knowledge Tags to see related items across your projects and organization.

Select Refresh to load the latest.

Until you’ve chatted for a while, it says “No memory data available yet. Start chatting to build your AI memory!”

Settings › Memory in my.studio, on Overview: How AI Memory Works, and the totals: 2 facts, 18 sessions, 40 turns, 9.0K tokens, 4 agents and 0 artifacts.

Each project has its own Memory tab: “Governed project memory”. It’s separate from your personal memory, and it belongs to the project.

Project Memory is kept up to date as you work in the project. Each part shows its status, such as Healthy, Needs refresh, Empty or Managed elsewhere.

  • Refresh reloads it.
  • Export vault downloads the memory as Markdown, with frontmatter and wikilinks, that you can open in Obsidian.
  • Import vault reads .md files back in.

In Local mode, the Local Runtime indexes your folder on your own computer, and that memory never leaves your machine.

  • Custom instructions, in the project’s Settings tab, are what you tell the assistant to do in every conversation.
  • Memory is what the assistant learns along the way.
