How the apps fit together
work.studio is one platform with several ways in. Builders set things up in Flow. Everyone else uses what they built in my.studio or on their phone. Your customers meet it inside your product through Embed, and your systems reach it through the API.
The apps and who uses them
Section titled “The apps and who uses them”| App | Where | Who it’s for | What you do there |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow | flow.work.studio | Builders | Connect tools, build and publish automations, watch runs in Logs, package apps for customers. |
| my.studio | my.work.studio | Everyone in your organization | Ask the assistant, answer approvals in Tasks, run and follow Automations, manage your own connections and Shield (your guardrail settings). |
| The work.studio mobile app | Android on Google Play; iPhone coming soon | Anyone away from a desk | Ask the assistant, answer what Needs you, and Act on tasks and automations. |
| Embed | Inside your own product | Your customers | Browse your integrations, connect their accounts and turn on automations, without leaving your product. |
| API and SDKs | api.work.studio | Your developers and systems | Run automations from code and read their results, with an API key. |
Flow and the full Designer view
Section titled “Flow and the full Designer view”Flow opens in a simplified view that shows what most builders need: Home, Overview, Automations, Connections, Logs and Dashboards, plus the Setup and Distribute groups.
Some features, such as Agents, Knowledge and Guardrails, live only in the full Designer view. To get there, select Open full Designer at the top of the Flow sidebar. It opens designer.work.studio in a new tab, and you stay signed in. It’s the same app with every area shown.
One organization
Section titled “One organization”Everything you build belongs to your organization: the company account you sign in to. Your automations, connections, agents and team all live there.
- In Flow, an Organization switcher appears in the top bar only if you belong to two or more organizations.
- In my.studio, you pick the organization while signing in. If you belong to several, you see Select Organization.
- In the mobile app, you pick it at sign-in too. You can’t switch organizations later without signing out.
Environments
Section titled “Environments”An organization has one or more environments, such as production and staging. Connections and automations belong to one environment, so a test setup can’t touch production data.
- In Flow, pick the environment with the Environment switcher in the top bar. + Add environment… creates a new one. When you’re in production, the switcher is highlighted and its tooltip reads “You are working in production”.
- In my.studio, the Environment picker sits at the bottom of the sidebar. It appears only when you have more than one environment, and switching reloads the app.
- In the mobile app, your organization’s default environment is chosen for you.
Environments and deployments explains how to move automations between them.
One sign-in
Section titled “One sign-in”All the apps share one work.studio sign-in at auth.work.studio. Once you’ve signed in to one web app, opening another signs you in without asking again. The mobile app signs in through your phone’s browser with the same account.
